Who the Luxe OrthoSupport9 suits
The OrthoSupport9 exists to solve a specific annoyance: orthopaedic mattresses are made from dense reflex foam, and dense foam sleeps warm. Adding an active cooling layer to a firm foam build addresses that directly, and makes this the mattress for someone who needs firm support and runs hot.
If heat is not part of your problem, be aware that the Majestic 11000 scores higher for support at around £90 less, and the Majestic 9000 is cheaper still. The cooling layer is what you are paying the premium for here, so only pay it if you need it.
Construction and materials
Twenty-three centimetres of high-density reflex foam with an active cooling layer, under a breathable cover. The reflex foam is the same category of material used in the Majestic range: it resists compression rather than contouring, producing the firm, supportive surface an orthopaedic mattress requires.
The cooling layer and breathable cover work at the surface. What they cannot do is ventilate the foam body, because solid foam has no open structure for air to move through – that is a limitation shared by every all-foam cooling mattress, including much more expensive ones.
Comfort and support

The active cooling layer and breathable cover move heat off the surface, and the firm surface itself helps, since you rest on top rather than sinking in. It will not match a sprung hybrid like the LuxeTherm, but it comfortably outperforms conventional orthopaedic foam.
Edge support and motion isolation
Edge support is very good – high-density reflex foam holds its shape at the perimeter as well as in the centre, so you keep the full sleeping width. Motion isolation is poor: firm foam transmits movement far more readily than memory foam, so this is not a good choice for a bed shared with a restless partner.
Durability, trial and warranty
High-density reflex foam is durable and resists permanent compression well. Expect 8–10 years of nightly use. The 100-night trial matters on any firm mattress, since firmness preference is the hardest thing to predict, and the 10-year warranty is standard across the Luxe range. Rotate head-to-toe quarterly.

Match it to your actual problem and it is a good buy.
