Thirty-three centimetres, the deepest build we list. Five thousand pocket springs sit beneath natural latex comfort layers and a pillow-top, wrapped in organic cotton and wool. A 5000-spring count in a double means very small individual springs, which follow the body's contours in fine detail.
We should be straight about spring counts: beyond roughly 2000 in a double, additional springs deliver diminishing returns and start functioning as a marketing figure. Five thousand is a genuinely high-specification unit, but it is not two and a half times better than the 2000 in the Imperial 2000. The depth, the latex and the natural fibres are what you are really buying.

But it earns a 7.8 value score because the LuxeErgo 3400 matches its 9.0/9.0 scores for around £210 less, and does so without a pillow-top that will flatten. Buy this if you want natural latex in a premium pillow-top build and the price difference does not concern you. If you are optimising for the best mattress per pound, buy the LuxeErgo.
